Go Phillies, Go Phillies!!!!!!

I can't believe it! The Phillies are not only going to the playoffs, they won the division! The Mets totally folded and I'm loving it! Jimmy Rollins took heat for saying that the Phillies were the team to beat in the east and he backed up that statement with a MVP caliber season.

Ahh, I get to see Ryan Howard in the playoffs. Woohoo. Damn, I wish I could go to a playoff game.

Phillies lead the NL East by 1 game

WOW! J-Roll said the Phillies were the team to beat in the east at the beginning of the season and everybody laughed. Now what?!?! Sure there are a few games left, but the Mets are totally melting down.

Man, I wish I was going to that game on Sunday. CBP is gonna be rocking!

Chewing tobacco - Yuck!

I'm watching baseball and they were talking about an employee of one of the teams and kept flashing to him. At first I thought he was drinking something then I noticed that he wasn't. He was chewing. Yuck!!!!!! Why did they feel the need to show that on tv.

That's gross.

How nice would it be to go on a fall getaway to NC? Especially when it's starting to get chilly here in the northeast. Fall weather in the NC area runs in the high 60's to low 70's. You can also visit during the Diwali Festival. It's one of India's most popular festivals, a celebration of lights with music, dancing and a grand fireworks finale. During the fall, the weather is still nice so you can stand outside without worrying about heavy coats, scarves and gloves looking like the Abominable Snowman.

As far as things to do, you can check out a professional hockey game, a minor league baseball game, or one of the many PGA events that takes place in the area. That's just the sporting events. There are also museums, theater and the ballet. Not to mention shopping. As an affordable laid back town, Raleigh is a classic southern city. It's often been called the "Smithsonian of the South" with over 20 free attractions.

Since my grandma lives there, I get to visit fairly often and I love it. Even though I have somewhere to stay when I go, I sure wouldn't mind winning that trip.

Those fightin' Phils!

Wow, now it's getting crazy. The Phillies won and the Mets lost. The Phillies are now tied for 1st place in the NL East. All they have to do now is keep pace with the Mets and they're in the playoffs and the Mets are out.

I was gonna write something smart about the Mets but we all know it ain't over til it's over.

Joke of the week

A retiring farmer in preparation for selling his land,
needed to rid his farm of animals. So he went to every
house in his town.

To the houses where the man is the boss, he gave a horse.
To the houses where the woman is the boss, a chicken was
given.

He got toward the end of the street and saw a couple
outside gardening. "Who's the boss around here?" he
asked.

"I am." said the man.

"I have a black horse and a brown horse," the farmer said,
"which one would you like?"

The man thought for a minute and said, "The black one."

"No, no, no, get the brown one." the man's wife said.

"Here's your chicken." said the farmer.

It just figures

I always complain because I can't see certain baseball games. So who played on ESPN tonight? The Phillies vs the Braves. Of course the Phillies won. Shane Victorino came in as a pinch hitter and hit a home run. That's just my luck. Today is my day for school and I didn't get home until 10pm. I totally missed the game.

Just my luck!

I can wear cute clothes now

I've lost a good amount of weight since last year. Not as much as I want to, but it's a definite improvement. My clothes sizes keep getting smaller and smaller and I love it.

I'm also buying more accessories since I've lost weight. All kinds of belts, scarves and jewelry. I have gotten necklaces and bracelets galore to match all of my new clothes that I've brought. I even been shopping for gold belly rings. Can you tell I'm excited to show off my new figure?

I plan on keeping up with my weight loss. I look better but even more importantly I feel better. But hey, let's keep it real, looking good is the best motivation.

Short story update

Well, there's really no update. I haven't written anything in several weeks. I have a few story ideas but nothing that I'm thrilled with or excited about putting on my blog.

I usually get ideas for pages at a time but I think because I'm so stressed right now, I'm not thinking clearly.

Hopefully I'll get back into the swing of things soon.

Conference capital USA

Is it just me or does Orlando seem to be the conference capital of the USA? Every time someone tells you they're going to a conference, it's in or around Orlando. That's why there are so many hotels there. And when you search online for hotels and orlando you come up with some great rates. It's cheaper and easier to book online.

When you check out your rates, you can also check out dining options or nightlife. There's basketball in the area during the season and clubs galore. I love to travel around to different cities visiting their arenas and sports teams.

I can't wait to be done with school. Then I can spend all of the money that I'm spending on school on travel. Hey you only live once.

Thank goodness for spell check

I write on the fly. I just type as fast as I can to try to keep up with my thoughts so I don't forget anything. If I don't write down what I'm thinking, I'll forget what I wanted to say.

But I notice that I misspell stuff a lot. Once I hit the spell check, I wonder what the heck I was thinking when I typed some of this stuff up.

Thank goodness it's available or my blog would really look a mess.

I'm not going to a Phillies game

I had wrote on another blog that I was trying to go to Philly to see the last home game of the season. But I was sick a couple of weeks ago and didn't get paid for those days. I have a slush/fun fund for this reason where I keep at least 3 days worth of pay. I didn't get paid for 2 1/2 days so that fund has been depleted.

Some of my coworkers are going to a Pirates game that same weekend. I don't know, I may go with them but I'm not sure yet.

The vending machine guy at work

He's pretty cool. I talk to him all the time. I once thought about getting my own vending machine business. Don't laugh. It's a money-maker if you have the right machines in the right locations.

He doesn't work for a company like multivend who let's you own your own machines. I think that's the best deal because you keep the total profits. The company he works for pays him an hourly wage and a percentage of the merchandise sold from the machines.

He works a lot of hours and his company reaps the majority of the profits. I would rather be my own boss.

New Google rant

Darn Google. They just refuse to update page rank. It's usually done every 90-120 days. They haven't done an update for over 146 days.

There are dozens of rumors going around as to why the update hasn't been done. The most popular is that Google wants to weed out paid links. They don't want paid links figuring in their formula making sites seem more popular than they are. The other rumor is that Google is doing away with page rank all together.

I don't know what the reason is, I just wish they would get with the updates already.

Woohoo Phillies win and Padres lose

Yes! The Padres lost to the Rockies 6-1. Now the Phillies are only 1/2 game back in the wild card race. They're still 1 1/2 back of the Mets but at this point I'm sure they'll take the wild card if they can get it.

Now they just need to keep pace with San Diego.

Sunday shopping

I'm really mad at my friend. Her stove stopped working last week and she wants to go look for another one today. It's football day. Is she crazy? Why didn't she want to go on Saturday. She wasn't doing anything either that made it impossible for her to go.

I told her to look on the internet and narrow down stores to shop at. She's looking at Kenmore Ranges so she can get really specific with her search results. That way we don't have to go to stores that we know won't have the products that she needs.

This better be quick and I better not miss anything good. She better be lucky she's my friend.

Phillies go into extra innings again!

They have got to be exhausted. They've played extra innings in 3 of their last 4 games. They did win which was good because they have to keep pace with the Mets who also won. Now I have to see what the Padres did. I hope they lost to help the Phillies out in the wild card race.

Be careful what you wish for

I'm talking about baseball here. I said that the game of the week would feature 1 of 4 teams vying for the playoffs. The Mets, Phillies, Yankees or Red Sox. These two races are tight. Not only the division race but the wild card race as well.

The Yankees are leading the wild card for their division but the Phillies are 1 1/2 games back in both the division chase and the wild card chase.

Anywho guess which team is featured? Yup the Mets. The team I like the least out of the four. Since the Yankees and Red Sox are always on, I was kinda hoping to see the Phillies. Oh well, I guess I just have to sit here and root for them anyway and check for scoring updates.

Monaco equals gold?

When you hear Monaco what do you think of? I know I think of the French country with all of the casinos. You also think of it being the land of the rich and famous. But did you ever hear it's name associated with buying any type of gold coin products? I think gold coins are cool to have.

With Monaco you can also request a free copy of their coin magazine to get an inside look into the markets. Reading the magazines can give you a better understanding of the terms that are used as well. I mean numismatic? Who know what that means?

I think maybe I like gold coins because I think of them being pretty and shiny.

I hope there's a good game on today

Usually on Saturday you get a game of the week on Fox. I hope it's a good game. Since the Mets and Phillies are in a tight race, maybe it will be one of those two teams. Ok so you know I'm hoping for the Phillies. It could also be the Red Sox or Yankees. I'm rooting for a Yankees game, but hey Boston will do.

I just hope it's one of those 4 teams.

We had a nice baby shower at work today

One of my coworkers is pregnant. Today we had a baby shower for her. We brought in food, drinks (well soda and tea), and decorations. We gave her a card with some money in it, I think it was $115. Plus the gifts that we chipped in for.

We got her all kinds of baby clothes. Things like onesies, shoes, t-shirts, and booties. We also got a snowsuit (it gets cold here) and a Maclaren stroller. I was shocked at the stroller. Basically the managers put the money in especially for that. We used the money that everybody else put in for the rest of the gifts.

It was a nice party. She was really surprised because she said she didn't expect us to get her as much stuff as we did. I'm just glad that we were able to get her some stuff that she can use.

Tempting emails

When my uncle booked our cruise, he signed me up to get emails from the cruise company. They send something once a week on average. Today I got a email with a 3 days cruise from $189 including port charges. Then a one week cruise for only $499 including port charges. Man, I don't need the temptation right now.

I need to put more money towards my savings account for school. Maybe I should start ignoring those emails instead of reading them.

Honey I blew up the computer

I thought I was going to go crazy when my computer died. It was horrible. I was without a personal computer for over a month. I say personal computer because I was still able to access the internet from my work computer. But email and certain blogging functions are blocked so I was very limited in what I could look at.

I researched computers online. I looked at several desktop computers, but in the end I decided on a laptop. Now I love my laptop. I can't imagine going back to a desktop at home. I can sit on my couch and blog, check sports scores and balance my checkbook all while watching tv. And there's no swiveling in a chair involved. It's great.

The hardest part about buying the computer was researching it online. I went to a bunch of stores comparing and contrasting systems and price. Even though I'm cheap, I looked at the quality of the computer before I factored in the price. I figured I needed something that was going to hold up so quality was a top concern.

I just hope this one lasts as long as my last computer did.

Joke of the week

Proper Job Placement...

Methods from Human Resources...

1. Put 400 bricks in a closed room.

2. Put your new hires in the room and close the door.

3. Leave them alone and come back after 6 hours.

4. Then analyze the situation:

a. If they are counting the bricks, put them in the Accounting Department.

b. If they are recounting them, put them in Auditing.

c. If they have messed up the whole place with the bricks, put them in Engineering.

d. If they are arranging the bricks in some strange order, put them in Planning.

e. If they are throwing the bricks at each other, put them in Operations.

f. If they are sleeping, put them in Security.

g. If they have broken the bricks into pieces, put them in Information Technology.

h. If they are sitting idle, put them in Human Resources.

i. If they say they have tried different combinations, they are looking for more, yet not a brick has been moved, put them in Sales.

j. If they have already left for the day, put them in Management.

k. If they are staring out of the window, put them in Strategic Planning.

l. If they are talking to each other, and not a single brick has been moved, congratulate them and put them in Top Management.

m. Finally, if they have surrounded themselves with bricks in such a way that they can neither be seen nor heard from, put them in Congress.

My eyes are killing me

I don't know what's wrong. They even hurt when I blink. My eyelids are sore and tender. Then my eyes just start watering for no reason. I had to leave work early to come home and get my glasses then go back to work. All I kept doing was blinking and wiping away tears.

I hope my eyes are just tired and fatigued and it's nothing serious.

My apartment is so small

I'm single so I always figured that a small apartment would be fine for me. Well, it's not. It is way too small. I don't have enough room for anything. I went out last weekend and bought some storage bins to put my summer clothes in. I'll put the bins in the back of the closet and move my fall and winter clothes to the front of the closet.

I need more bins. I have so much paper that I just can't throw away. Some of it is related to my short stories, some for school work, investments, old tax forms and bank statements. I don't want to overload my computers with files so I keep hard copies. And all of the paperwork is relevant so I can't throw it out.

It's hard being a pack-rat!

I need to turn the tv off

I'm supposed to be studying for my math test which is tomorrow. I turned on The Biggest Loser and now I can't stop watching. I hadn't planned on watching the show either. Last week my friend had me watching it while I was talking to her on the phone. Now I'm hooked.

And I usually don't watch reality tv shows.

What is Mike Tirico talking about?

Idiot! I have the Eagles vs the Redskins on as background noise. I really don't like either team but I'm rooting for the Eagles because I pretty much hate the Redskins.

Anyway, Mike Tirico started talking about Eagles coach Andy Reid, his sons and the legal trouble they were in. He then said of one son "he's incarcerated and in jail".

Wow!!!!!!!!! At the same time. No!!!!

Idiot.

Idiot Edit: "The Redskins have just scored the first touchdown on the Eagles in 2006"
Wow! Now we're playing in a time machine! Awesome!

Mike Tirico has been upgraded to F'n Idiot!

Nourish your skin

I'm starting to get older. No, I'm not old but older. I'm just starting to take better care of my skin. When I was younger, I didn't use any moisturizer on my face. I was lucky if I used lotion. I am now becoming more aware of fine lines and dryness on my face.

There is a product that I could use. It's the R.G. Skin Revitalizer. It's primary ingredient is Gac. When I first heard of it, I was like what is that. Gac is a red fruit that grows in sub-tropical Asia, especially in Vietnam. The fruit can grow as large as a cantaloupe. It's a source of beta-carotene which helps boost your immune system. There are also carotenoids in the plant, which help protect your skin against excess sunlight. Too much sun can be very damaging to the skin.

Check out the product and decide if it's right for you. But don't wait too late to start taking care of your skin. I've seen some older people whose skin looks horrible. It looks dry, cracked and hard. Like if you touch it, it would crack. That's why I take care of my skin now, I don't want to look like leather-face.

My sports weekend

Wow, the Yankees really scared me today. They were winning 4-1, then gave up 2 runs in the ninth. Then the bottom of the 9th two outs, bases loaded, Big Papi at the plate. Thank goodness he popped it up. Man, I thought I was gonna have a heart attack watching that game.

The Steelers won 26-3 which was cool. The throwback jerseys are loud but the helmets are even worse. Ugh, that's an ugly yellow. We still have to see the throwbacks one more time on November 5th.

And the Phillies won today. They're still behind the Mets by like 5 or 6 games. Their best chance to get in the playoffs is the wild-card. They're 1 game behind the Dodgers.

I should have been doing homework. Oh well, I guess I'll do it tomorrow.

Would you send an anonymous email?

Have you ever wanted to say something but just didn't know how? Or are you scared about emailing someone something that you know will upset them? To combat that you can send an Anonymous Email. What could you possibly want to say anonymously? Well, you can report a crime. Think about it, most people don't report crimes to law enforcement officials because they're afraid of facing repercussions from the criminals. Enter the anonymous email. Nobody will know but you.

There are other great reasons for remaining anonymous like: reporting child abuse, reporting theft at work, or even sending a tip to the media. Sometimes there are things that need to be said and with the anonymous email, you can feel confident in saying them.

Why I haven't gotten off of free blogging sites

I wrote a post about getting your own domain and getting off of free sites. As everyone knows, blogger is a free site so what am I still doing here? Well, my own domains have the exact same name as my blogger blogs. If I get shut down on blogger, no big deal. I'll just move over to my other blogs. And since I back up all of my posts, I can easily transfer them over to the blogs on their own domain.

That also means that I only have to update 2 blogs regularly instead of 4. I actually have 5 blogs, but one is only updated every 2 weeks so I don't even count that one.

Learning to dance

I can't dance at all. I went to a friends wedding a few weeks ago and wouldn't dance because I have no rhythm. I wish I would have found bachata videos before I went. Then I'm sure I would have danced. Especially since bachata is a form of Latin dancing which is sexy.

I've already ordered some videos to start practicing. Hopefully by the time the next occasion calls for it, I'll be ready to dance.

This is a total sports weekend

Yesterday I watched baseball all day. Today I'll be watching football all day long, then tonight I get to see the Yankees again. That will make 3 days in a row for Yankees games. This is one sweet weekend.

I guess I'll be busy on Monday and Tuesday doing the homework that I'm putting off today.

All telemarketers aren't bad

I had barely published my last post, when I got a angry email from one of my friends. She thinks all telemarketers are bad, and they're not. As I explained in my previous post, there are firms who literally just compile databases full of information. They don't call people, it's the other way around. People seek them out trying to buy their products.

Don't paint all telemarketers with the same brush.

Saturday, September 15, 2007

How telemarketers can help your business

Telemarketers can actually help your business. When someone makes a purchase from a company, their information goes into that companies database. Those companies then sell the information to Telemarketing Lists Broker who maintain an even larger database of consumer information.

You're probably thinking how does this help me. It helps you because the little guys can buy lists too. It's not just big business that gets in on the act. You can buy a list that's strictly related to your market. It will tell you who actually buys stuff, and what they buy. You can then target your marketing efforts towards those people that you know are actually interested and likely to buy from you. And that leads to more profits in the end.

Writing similar posts on multiple blogs

I can write similar posts and tailor them to my specific blog. For instance, I can talk about vacation on my money blog from a cost perspective and on this blog from a fun perspective. That's one of the reasons that this blog is not a niche blog like my other one. It sometimes gets difficult to find topics to write about on that blog.

Usually when I skip days on this blog, it's because I'm too tired to write anything. Not that I don't have anything to write. I always have something to say.

I might sneak in a weekend getaway

School is so stressful right now. One of the ways I deal with stress is to just go on vacation and leave everything behind. Right now I don't have a lot of vacation time left so I might be taking a few weekend breaks. It's easy to squeeze a bunch of short breaks into my schedule. Especially since I have 2 more 3 day weekends before the year is out.

Now I just have to figure out where to go. I can't go anywhere exotic like Barcelona or Paris. But if I can find some cheap flights, I might go to my favorite place. That's right...Vegas baby! But I don't want to put the cart before the horse and get ahead of myself. I need to check out the travel sites first. I hope everything goes my way. I really need a break.

Joke of the week

A Summer Skirt Situation...

As the bus stopped and it was her turn to get on, a lovely looking woman became aware that her skirt was too tight to allow her leg to come up to the height of the first step of the bus.

Slightly embarrassed and with a quick smile to the bus driver, she reached behind her to unzip her skirt a little, thinking that this would give her enough slack to raise her leg. She tried to take the step, only to discover that she couldn't.

So, a little more embarrassed, she once again reached behind her to unzip her skirt a little more, and for the second time attempted the step

Once again, much to her chagrin, she could not raise her leg.

With a little smile to the driver, she again reached behind to unzip a little more and again was unable to take the step.

About this time, a large Texan who was standing behind her picked her up easily by the waist and placed her gently on the step of the bus.

She went ballistic and turned to the would-be Samaritan and yelled, "How dare you touch my body! I don't even know who you are!"

The Texan smiled and drawled, "Well, ma'am, normally I would agree with you, but after you unzipped my fly three times, I kinda figured we was friends."

It's freezing at work

It's been cold since yesterday morning. I have on a jacket and I'm still cold. The a/c panel says it's 71 degrees but that thing is wrong, wrong, wrong. It's more like 65 degrees. Add to that the fact that I can feel the air blowing, and it feels like the middle of winter!

I need some hot tea or something to warm me up.

Inside the Steelers Huddle

This show is so funny. It's hosted by Tunch Ilkin, Hines Ward and Deshea Townsend. This week they had 3 special guests - Jeff Reed, Greg Warren, and Dan Sepulveda.

They always ask their guest if they like sprinkles or nuts. Poor Dan listened to Tunch and picked nuts. lolol. It's the first time in 6 years anyone ever said nuts. He spent the rest of the show trying to explain his decision.

The also talked about their new dress code for away games. They can't wear jeans. Khakis and button down shirts are fine.

At the end of the show they did karaoke. They sang "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy". That was hilarious.

I love the show. I think I've been listening to it since it's inception. It's on 102.5 WDVE at 7pm on Tuesdays. If you miss the show, you can go to the website and download the podcast. You won't be sorry!

Bloggers on a power trip part 2

I wrote about the girl who shut down Angie's blog because she didn't agree with something Angie said.

Well, the horrible host never answered any questions that fellow bloggers brought up. However her horrible mommy did. She left a post on a message board linking to her personal blog. She then deleted all comments criticizing her and her daughter. How do I know this? I left the first comment which is now not there.

Lesson people: Get your own hosts or use big sites like blogger. But don't let some person on a power trip shut down your blog.

Edit: I removed the links from this post. The offenders should not be rewarded with linkage. The horrible host is www (dot) rainbowofwords (dot) com. The horrible mommy is www (dot) azdana (dot) com

Have you tried Voip?

With more and more people signing up for cable internet and fios packages, the need for traditional telephone packages is going by the wayside. Now you can sign up for Voip.com for $19.95 per month. You can also add a second line to your cell phone. I can think of one of my friends that could definitely use that. She has two cell phones. And I thought I could talk.

Get off of free blogging sites

Here is the post I wrote earlier before all of the hub-bub about the blog that got shut down.

Especially if you're serious about blogging. I'm not just talking about blogger either. There's also vox, livejournal, and a host of others. They can shut your blog down for any reason they choose to.

There is a person who blogs for one of the same companies that I do. She had her blog as a sub domain on someone elses site. The person took exception to something she wrote and shut her down. I feel really bad for her. She lost all of her posts. She may be able to go into Google cache and get them back but maybe not.

If that's not incentive to move to your own domain, I don't know what is.

Protect your computer

Protecting your computer isn't so much about the computer as it is about the content on the computer. Computers are cheap now a days. You can easily get one for less than $500. But you can't always replace the information on the computer especially if you get a virus.

So what can you do? Well you can go to a website where you can download free norton antivirus software for your computer. I don't know what possesses people to create viruses anyway. I think a lot of times it's just for kicks. They seem to enjoy knowing that their virus is out there. I know one thing I don't open email forwards from people I don't know. That's where the majority of those nasty viruses come from anyway.

Symantec is offering these downloads free through a number of sites, but it's for a limited time only. So get your virus protection now.

Bloggers on a power trip

I had written several posts about getting your own domain names and hosting plans but I haven't published them yet. After what happened to a fellow blogger, I felt that I had to speak out.

A blogger (person A) had a blog that was hosted by someone else (Administrator A). Person A posted something that Adminstrator A didn't like, so they suspended her blog for two weeks. Meanwhile, there were no tos violations or anything related to p0rn, gambling, drugs etc. It was just something Admin A didn't like.

The worse part is that person A is losing money. Both Person A and Admin. A are paid bloggers (as I am) and Admin A knows that she is causing Person A grief. She's just a blog administrator on a power trip.

As I said in a public forum and on a related blog: If you agree to host someone elses blog, realize that you are not going to agree with everything they say. Either deal with it or don't host peoples blogs.

I definitely need a tutor

I started school this week. I actually started the community college, which is where my math class is, this week. Pitt started 2 weeks ago. I walked into my math class and felt like the professor was speaking another language. I am definitely looking into Math Tutors. I just don't understand what he's talking about.

The teacher is trying to give us tips to simplify the information, but that just makes me more confused. We've only covered 3 sections out of the chapter so far. But each exam only covers 2 chapters because it's so much information.

I won't be getting my book for the class until Monday, so I'll probably spend Monday night just reading through the chapter. Then Tuesday I'll attempt the homework. I have a feeling this is going to be a long semester.

I hate slow loading blogs

I was visiting a fellow blogger and trying to throw some link-love her way. It took forever for her front page to load. It's like that every time I visit. I don't know whether it's the widgets she has on her site or what but it's bad.

I know if you have some of your blogging tools installed in your header instead of your footer, it causes the whole site to load slow. I wish she would change something because I really love her site and her writing but the loading problem is just too much to deal with.

My book didn't come today

I ordered my math book online and upgraded shipping. I didn't read the shipping policy and the company ships ups. I wrote a rant a few months ago about the problems I have with UPS.

They attempted delivery 3 times so they will hold my book at the service center. I have to go pick it up on Monday. But I really wanted it to study this weekend. I haven't taken a math class in years so I really need to study. Now I'll have to cram all on Monday and Tuesday.

I have to train this week

I hate training new people. I realize everyone is new and needs to be trained. I was new at one point and had to be trained. But the difference was the person that trained me was excited to do it.

Some people look forward to stuff like this. I hate it and wish that I could get out of it. Unfortunately only 1 other person knows how to do the job and she's not that good at it.

Ugh, wish me luck!

I'm exhausted

I've been off work for a almost a week. I was sick last week and missed 3 days. Plus today was a holiday so I had an extra day off. I slept in most of the days I was off except yesterday and today. I woke up both days at 6:30am. Now I feel like I need to sleep in tomorrow and that's not possible.

I'm supposed to be writing

I was supposed to take some time today to write. I have no inspiration. I seem to write best when I'm either really stressed or ticked off.

I've been sitting staring at the computer screen for at least 2 hours and nothing. Not one single solitary idea. I need to get into a zone.

Party Pod not quite as bad as I thought!

But it still sucks. 96.1 Kiss FM does a thing called Party Pod every holiday weekend. You text or email your requests in, and they play them all. No matter if it's a song from the 70's, 80's 90's or today. The problem I have with it is that you can't get into a groove. There's no continuity to the songs they play.

To be fair though, just after I published my last post about party pod, they played 4 or 5 songs in a row that I really like.

Have you tried Cellfish yet?

I wrote this post on my other blog about Cellfish and their service. On Cellfish, you can get Free Ringtones. Right now, there seems to be a lot of songs in Spanish available. But you can get Promiscuous or Party Like A Rockstar. I even think I saw a song by Ne-Yo on there.

Did I mention they're free? It's hard to find places where you can get free downloads. But you can at Cellfish. They do have some downloads that you have to pay for. But the majority of the site is free. They also have videos that you can download. Guys can check out the Victoria's Secret video from Christmas.

My favorite part of the site is the image download. I uploaded a picture that I found of the Phillies to my locker. Then I used that image and sent it to my phone as my wallpaper. If you like my image you can click on it and share it on your blog or download it to your phone. What's not to like about Ryan Howard in a suit? I mean really, that man is sexy! Ryan not your cup of tea? Then check out the other guys.

Now get on over to Cellfish and find the perfect download or picture for your phone. Ryan's plate music is a song by Mims (This is why I'm hot) so that's my ring tone to match my wallpaper. What can I say, I love me some Ryan Howard!
