I'm going crazy listening to the same music all of the time. We don't have a urban radio station at all. Everything is top 40 and pop which isn't too bad except there's really only 1 station and it seems like they only have 8-10 songs in their rotation. You can seriously listen to the radio for 2 hours and hear at least 3 sounds twice in those 2 hours. If you hear a song that's over 6 months old, that's considered "old school".
I can't even stream music over the internet anymore so I'm really stuck listening to the same old songs.

I wanna go to a concert
Which is very unusual for me because I hate sudden loud noises and I don't like large crowds of people either. It's a Jay Z/Eminem co-headlined concert. Jay will headline NY while Em will headline in Detroit. I'm sure those Yankee Stadium NY tickets will sell out. I would actually prefer to try to go to the Detroit show.
Now I just have to figure out a way to swing the cost.

I need to download some music
I don't know if I want to go to the I-Tunes or Rhapsody music site. I need music for my new mp-3 player. I have a bunch of old music that I've always had. I also have music that I can burn from my personal cd collection. I still need some new music.
Instead of focusing on price, I need to see who has the better selection of music that I like.

I love the new song by Rihanna
In general, I don't listen to Rihanna but I love her new song. It's called Rehab and it's a really nice song. She's in love with this guy but it's so painful to her. She says being that much in love is like a disease. She needs to look into rehabilitation centers like Promises. I've never been to one of them but I've seen them on television and man are they nice. They're really upscale places.
I think a lot of people have a misconception about what rehab is. They think of this skeevy place with a bunch of questionable people. This place is nowhere near that. Even though most of the people need help, it's not like it's a bottom of the barrel type of place. It's a large, spacious, well-run business. They have a good size staff to patient ratio to make sure everyone is comfortable with their services and that they get the help that they need.
Most people shy away from places like this but I think it's a brave move to make. To admit that you need help and go somewhere to get that help takes courage. If you need that help, why don't you take the first step and look into the center. It could be the first step towards making positive changes in your life.

There is no good music on the radio
I don't like most of the music on the radio now. I do have a few exceptions but for the most part I'm bored with music. Everyone and everything sounds the same. There's no originality. When you do hear something halfway original - it's the dumbest song ever!
I'll be glad when someone finally breaks out.

I need new headphones
The other day I said that I borrowed my boyfriends headphones to listen to at work. I gave his back when I brought mine in. I need new ones though. The ones I have go in your ear and they're killing me. I'm not used to wearing them. It might be because they're cheap (.99 special at WalMart), I'm not sure. I also need new headphones for my IPOD. I have one of the old shuffles and the headphones are frayed right at the point where they connect into the device.
I still hear fine out of them but I don't want to put them in one day and they short out. I would go crazy on the ride home with no music.

I borrowed my boyfriends headphones
I had better not forget to take these things with me at the end of the day. He uses the headphones to play his PSP game. Sometimes he uses it for the other game. I think it's a Nintendo DS. Anyway that keeps the sound from annoying other people (namely me).
He just moved into a new apartment and it's mostly older people in that building. He will play his games late into the night so he doesn't want to disturb them. Can you imagine waking up at 10pm and hearing "blip blip blip bloop"?!?! I told him to send me a text message so I don't leave the headphones at work.
I'll have to remember to slip mine into my bag tonight.

Stupid music club
First they charged me for a cd that I never ordered or received. When I emailed them about it, they said I hadn't responded to my featured selection. It was over 3 months old so I had deleted that notification. They did take the charge off.
Today I went to order a cd to fulfill my commitment and they wanted me to pay for it upfront. I really don't have a problem with that because you have to pay for most things beforehand. But on this site, it's only certain cds. If you order one of the more popular cds, you have to pay upfront. Otherwise you can pay later.
It makes no sense to me. Just have 1 set of rules for every cd. I plan on just ordering a cd and cancelling. This club is more hassle than it's worth.

Party Pod not quite as bad as I thought!
But it still sucks. 96.1 Kiss FM does a thing called Party Pod every holiday weekend. You text or email your requests in, and they play them all. No matter if it's a song from the 70's, 80's 90's or today. The problem I have with it is that you can't get into a groove. There's no continuity to the songs they play.
To be fair though, just after I published my last post about party pod, they played 4 or 5 songs in a row that I really like.

Have you tried Cellfish yet?
I wrote this post on my other blog about Cellfish and their service. On Cellfish, you can get Free Ringtones. Right now, there seems to be a lot of songs in Spanish available. But you can get Promiscuous or Party Like A Rockstar. I even think I saw a song by Ne-Yo on there.
Did I mention they're free? It's hard to find places where you can get free downloads. But you can at Cellfish. They do have some downloads that you have to pay for. But the majority of the site is free. They also have videos that you can download. Guys can check out the Victoria's Secret video from Christmas.
My favorite part of the site is the image download. I uploaded a picture that I found of the Phillies to my locker. Then I used that image and sent it to my phone as my wallpaper. If you like my image you can click on it and share it on your blog or download it to your phone. What's not to like about Ryan Howard in a suit? I mean really, that man is sexy! Ryan not your cup of tea? Then check out the other guys.
Now get on over to Cellfish and find the perfect download or picture for your phone. Ryan's plate music is a song by Mims (This is why I'm hot) so that's my ring tone to match my wallpaper. What can I say, I love me some Ryan Howard!

The party pod sucks!
Every holiday weekend the local radio station (96.1 Kiss FM) does what they call party pod. They take requests that you email or text into the station and play those songs. You can request anything. Sounds good right? Not really.
The songs are all mixed up so you can't get into any kind of groove. First it might be a new song, then a 70's song, then a 80's song, or maybe another new song. All weekend long.
I guess it's good that the normal deejays get some time off, but I hate party pod weekends.

The Back Street Boys have a new song
In my previous post, I said that I hated whiny man singers crying the blues about losing their woman. The song "Inconsolable" is by The Back Street Boys. I knew they had broken up but I didn't think they would ever get back together. Especially since they've been apart for so many years.
The weird thing is people are loving this song. They're blowing up the air waves requesting it. Needless to say, I'm not one of those people. I think the song sucks!

What's with these men crying
I've been listening to the radio and a lot of the men are crying. Not literally shedding tears but man are they whining. Oh she left me, she cheated on me, I'm inconsolable.
Geeze, come on guys man up. Hearing a love song is one thing. Listening to a man cry and whine is not cool. No wonder you're alone.

So did Usher get married or what
Did R&B singer get married in a low key wedding on Friday or not? What I really want to know is this...how old is this woman? When they first started "dating", it was said that Tameka Foster was in her 40's. Now, they're saying she's "only" 37. I said only because that still makes her almost 10 years older than him.
Boy, you shoulda listened to your mama. I give this "marriage" 2 years 3 months. So divorce by Nov 2009. Shotgun, I called it!

Every breath you take
I remember being about 15 years old and traveling with my family from NJ to NM for a two week visit. Every city we hit and every station we turned to was playing this song. It drove me crazy and for the longest time, I hated the song for the rest of the summer.
Of course, the song eventually grew on me. I started off humming it, then singing it, then finally I went and bought the police cd. I drove my mother crazy playing that song. I don't think I listened to any other song on the cd. I started listening to the radio for other songs by the Police to see what they had out there.
You know how you hear something but never really pay it any attention. I realized that the song Roxanne the I was always singing was their song. I never knew that, I just thought it was a catchy tune. I eventually bought another police cd. This time it was the Best of Sting and the Police. I love that cd. Again, I found songs I never even knew were by the Police.
When I heard the group was getting back together, I was ecstatic. I love Sting. Love him, love, love him. But as part of the Police, I love him even more. They have a new 28 track classic police cd and best of all, they're going on a worldwide tour. The only thing I hate about Pittsburgh is that we don't always get good shows, but this one will definitely hit town. And I will definitely be there. I can't wait.
