Why I think Agloco is a crock

For those of you who may not know, Agloco is the second incarnation of All-Advantage.com. All-Advantage folded several years ago mainly, they say, due to the dot.com bust.

The premise is simple, add a viewbar to the bottom of your screen, surf the internet as you normally would and get paid. Sounds easy peasy right? Well, first off, you only get paid for the five hours. That's not even a problem. Of course you want a limit on the number of hours someone gets paid. Nerds like me spend no less than 20 hours a month on the internet. Do you really want to pay someone for all of that time? Nope.

The viewbar is a main concern. Every month it gets delayed. Now it's slated for release in early to mid April. C'mon, how hard is it to develope a viewbar? People over a Wordpress develop plug-ins in a matter of days.

I don't think the viewbar is that problem at all. I think it's the advertisers. I don't think they have enough lined up or they're not getting as much money from the sponsors as they had hoped. Agloco updates their blog but whenever you ask them an advertiser question, they totally ignore it.

Don't bother trying to make money with this company. All I think you'll end up with in the end is a bunch of spam.
