I got some hotel points

Yay!! It was earlier than expected and I didn't have enough points in my account to get as many hotel points as I wanted but I did add almost 3k points to my hotel loyalty account.

According to the previous schedule, the points should not have been available until after January. However, I kept looking just to make certain. Sure enough the points were available last week. I jumped up and logged in to get them before they sold out.

There are still points available but I don't have enough points to turn in for more points. By the time I gather enough points, I'm sure they'll be all gone. That's ok though, right now I have enough points for almost 2 days. If I get a deal on the stay, I can stay anywhere from 3 to 6 days. As most of my vacations are only 4 nights, this works for me.

Now it's time to start stockpiling again so I can take full advantage the next time.

It's March Madness Time!

And it's time for me to get my bracket together. I really don't like basketball but I do like watching college more so than the pros. That being said, I've probably only seen 3 games all season. Nonetheless I'll be making out my brackets like everyone else.

Now I just need to figure out who's going to be my sleeper team this year.

I wanna go to a concert

Which is very unusual for me because I hate sudden loud noises and I don't like large crowds of people either. It's a Jay Z/Eminem co-headlined concert. Jay will headline NY while Em will headline in Detroit. I'm sure those Yankee Stadium NY tickets will sell out. I would actually prefer to try to go to the Detroit show.

Now I just have to figure out a way to swing the cost.

My hair turned out great

I got my hair cut this past weekend and it looks really nice. I don't have any split ends or frizzy/fly away hair. My hair dresser went to a great school but she could have gone to a Cosmetology school in Colorado where she would have learned the same things. Regency students work on real clients under the supervision of their faculty members. After they graduate the school has an excellent placement program that can put you anywhere from cruise ships to runway fashion shows.

I know my hairdresser got a top notch education because her work is awesome. I saw 2 people that she worked on before my appointment time and they both looked great. I will definitely go back to her and her number is on my speed dial.

What costume are you gonna wear for Halloween?

It's hard to believe that it's already time to dress up for Halloween. I haven't dressed up the past couple of years but I think I'm going to dress up this year. I haven't exactly figured out what I want to dress as yet though. I've been looking at different Costumes but I'm still not sure yet. I'm looking towards Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. Wonder Woman is really my first choice, but I'm not in shape to put on that costume. I'm not even gonna go outside and embarrass myself like that. I could be a nurse since a lot of people love that outfit.

What are you wearing this year?

Winning a trip is right up my alley

I love to travel but it gets very expensive. So when I saw this opportunity I was super excited. I always enter to win trips whenever I see them. Alas it's for Canadian residents only. So if you live in Canada enter to Win a trip to Atlanta Georgia. You also need 500 Coke coins to enter. It's to celebrate John Pemberton who is the inventor of Coca Cola. Can you believe he created Coke way back in 1886?

I have pretty good luck entering to win trips. I've won 2 even though I had to give 1 up because of school. I would definitely enter this contest if I was eligible. I never thought I'd be jealous that I didn't live in Canada before!

Having fun on vacation

For more widgets please visit www.yourminis.com

Yeah it's almost over but I did have fun. I went away for a few days just to relax. I went where there were a lot of single people and boy did I feel like I was in the Ultimate Flirting Championship or something. It was so much fun though.

Guys were complimenting me on my hair like I had gotten a Extreme Style by VO5 done before I left. I really just went and got a haircut. Nothing more or nothing less. I didn't even have my super sexy Victory Hair going on or anything. I took jeans and sneakers because I wasn't planning on meeting anyone but I was wrong.

Click on the widget and play the game and see if the lines work for you. They do work! Usually because they're so corny that it makes you smile and talk to the person. If I never hear "What's your sign?" or any of those other lines, that would be fine with me.

I sure hope we have shrimp kabobs

Our family reunion is the weekend of Labor Day. The family has been having fund-raisers all year in order to be able to pay for it. All we have to do is bring side dishes. All of the main courses will be provided. Two of my uncles will be running the grills with all types of hot dogs, burgers, ribs and of course chicken. I'll probably have ribs first because we all know they're the first thing to go.

I hope we have shrimp kabobs too. My uncle makes a mean kabob even though he doesn't put everything I like on it. He cooks like he's in one of those Cook off's he's always entering. Like the great American seafood cook off. I'm not a big seafood eater but I will eat shrimp.

I don't think he's even won although he's always excited to enter. He loves sharing recipes with people that they would have never thought of. I can't wait to get there to see what he comes up with.

Oh the kabob recipe. It's just shrimp, sausage, onions, peppers and tomatoes on a skewer. Really plain but it's the spices that he uses. I know he marinades the meat in alcohol and then uses seafood spices. I'm just not sure exactly which spices he uses.

I can't wait to get there and eat now.

Have you uploaded videos on Viddiction.com?

I had never even heard of viddiction until recently. I'm really excited about using the site though. It's a video upload site but better than the one you're thinking of. I went to the site and there were a ton of videos to watch. I never upload videos myself, I just watch what other people put up. Anyway the first video that caught my attention was the "fake lottery ticket". I didn't want to watch it because I thought it was mean. I'm a gambler and a lottery ticket buyer so this kind of joke would easily fool me. I eventually watched the video and it was funny.

The reason I say it's better than that other site is because of the incentives that they offer you. The best incentive is cash for videos that you upload. You upload your video and then get people to watch it. That's it. The more people that visit your video and rate it, the more points you earn. The person at the end of the month with the most points wins. Anywhere from $50-$500 per month. The best part about it is that you can upload as many videos as you want. And you can win multiple times. Imagine winning every month with different videos.

Go to the site and watch all the great videos. Then upload your own video and win cash!

Playing these stupid online games

I've gotten hooked on online games again. It happens every time one of my classes ends. I start playing the games to relax my mind and I get hooked. I don't even know the name of the game. It's a word puzzle where you put together as many words as you can in a short amount of time.

It's so much fun but I'm spending way too much time playing it.

Blogging perks

What are blogging perks you ask? It's stuff you get just because you blog. The best blogging perks are the people you meet. I've been in contact with a great group of people through blogging. Unfortunately I haven't been able to meet any of them in person yet.

Another great perk is free stuff! Yeah, I love free stuff. I got some samples in the mail a few weeks ago. I got some instant snow, a fireplace dvd and a smencil. The smencil was watermelon flavored and it smells so good. When you write with the pencil the fragrance comes out. I know they have a lot of other scents that I can try. The company also sells unique items like bags from recycled sails. You can find some great gift ideas browsing through their site.

That's just a couple of the benefits of blogging. I'm sure some more will come up as well. This is something I'm really glad I started doing.

First comes love

I think everybody remembers that kids rhyme. First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes whoever with a baby carriage. It seems like everyone at my job is singing that song right now. We have a least 3 woman that are at least 4 months pregnant. We're all pitching in to get them baby products for their baby shower. We've been looking at lilaguide.com for gift ideas. They have local guides, stores and services. Some of my coworkers are new parents and don't know where to go for certain things. We can look at the website and find suggestions as well as reviews for those places. That's because members are encouraged to add their own reviews to assist other moms with their day to day parenting activities.

Having kids is expensive. I don't mind helping my coworkers out with baby stuff when they're pregnant. Actually I think it's kinda fun to shop for the stuff.

Win a free Raleigh NC getaway

How would you like to win a Free Raleigh getaway? You can win:

One night accommodations for two at the Courtyard by Marriott Raleigh Crabtree Valley
-$25 gift certificate to Bloomsbury Bistro
-Free VIP admission for two to Rum Runners
-2 tickets to the North Carolina Theatre
-2 tickets to the N.C. Museum of Art’s Landscapes from the Age of Impressionism
-2 tickets to Dinosaurs: Ancient Fossils, New Discoveries at the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences

How nice would it be to go on a fall getaway to NC? Especially when it's starting to get chilly here in the northeast. Fall weather in the NC area runs in the high 60's to low 70's. You can also visit during the Diwali Festival. It's one of India's most popular festivals, a celebration of lights with music, dancing and a grand fireworks finale. During the fall, the weather is still nice so you can stand outside without worrying about heavy coats, scarves and gloves looking like the Abominable Snowman.

As far as things to do, you can check out a professional hockey game, a minor league baseball game, or one of the many PGA events that takes place in the area. That's just the sporting events. There are also museums, theater and the ballet. Not to mention shopping. As an affordable laid back town, Raleigh is a classic southern city. It's often been called the "Smithsonian of the South" with over 20 free attractions.

Since my grandma lives there, I get to visit fairly often and I love it. Even though I have somewhere to stay when I go, I sure wouldn't mind winning that trip.

Inside the Steelers Huddle

This show is so funny. It's hosted by Tunch Ilkin, Hines Ward and Deshea Townsend. This week they had 3 special guests - Jeff Reed, Greg Warren, and Dan Sepulveda.

They always ask their guest if they like sprinkles or nuts. Poor Dan listened to Tunch and picked nuts. lolol. It's the first time in 6 years anyone ever said nuts. He spent the rest of the show trying to explain his decision.

The also talked about their new dress code for away games. They can't wear jeans. Khakis and button down shirts are fine.

At the end of the show they did karaoke. They sang "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy". That was hilarious.

I love the show. I think I've been listening to it since it's inception. It's on 102.5 WDVE at 7pm on Tuesdays. If you miss the show, you can go to the website and download the podcast. You won't be sorry!

Where did the summer go?

I can't believe the summer is almost over. School starts tomorrow. Not only for college students but high school students as well.

I guess there is one perk to the upcoming winter weather. Winter sports of course. Football in particular. One of my coworkers is trying to convince me to try riding a Snowmobile. His family has a cabin and a lot of acreage. He goes up to the cabin with his brother and a few of their friends.

I told him I wasn't so sure. I don't know anything about snowmobiling. I can read up on it at a snowmobile forum. Heh, I'm still not convinced. Luckily, my friend and his family are patient. Which is good, because I think I'm definitely gonna work their nerves.

Do you answer poll questions?

Have you ever been to a website where it gives you a poll or survey question to answer? Do you answer them? I do, especially if they're sports or entertainment related.

Have you ever wondered where people get the survey questions from? Probably a site like Quibblo.com. You can go there and find fun online quizzes that you can answer or add the badge to your website or blog for your readers to answer.

If you don't like the questions or polls being offered, create your own. I'm creating one right now. Check back in a few minutes for it.
