Short story update

I haven't written in a long time because of school and just life in general. Next month is the writing challenge where you write a novel in 30 days. The bad thing for me is that it's supposed to be all one story. I tend to focus on one story but if I get a good idea for another story that I'm writing, I'll interupt and write for that one.

I guess this challenge will make me stick to a schedule. I just hope there's nothing pressing due for school next month.

I'm starting to write again

I've started my short stories again. Luckily for me I write a lot of stuff down. Quite a few of the ideas that I had for my short stories are written in a tablet that I still have. While I won't be able to re-write what I had written exactly, I'll be able to get a good amount re-written.

That's good enough for now.

My short story

There is no progress. Actually it's going backwards. My computer crashed and I lost everything on my hard drive. I never backed up my files to my zip drive so I lost it all. I know I should have done a backup because that's the smart thing but it never crossed my mind to.

Now I have to start all over. I don't even know where to begin.

I never did write my short story

I was writing a short story last summer. It turned into 3 or 4 different stories by the end of summer. I never did finish any one of the stories though. I was so busy with work and school that I just never had time to finish any of the stories. I probably won't get to any of them this year. I plan on taking 2 classes in the summer and 2 in the fall so I'll be pretty busy.

Maybe I'll finish them one day.

Short story update

Well, there's really no update. I haven't written anything in several weeks. I have a few story ideas but nothing that I'm thrilled with or excited about putting on my blog.

I usually get ideas for pages at a time but I think because I'm so stressed right now, I'm not thinking clearly.

Hopefully I'll get back into the swing of things soon.

I'm supposed to be writing

I was supposed to take some time today to write. I have no inspiration. I seem to write best when I'm either really stressed or ticked off.

I've been sitting staring at the computer screen for at least 2 hours and nothing. Not one single solitary idea. I need to get into a zone.

Short story update - sort of

I haven't written in the past 3 weeks. Nothing. Nada. I have writers block. I have some ideas for 2 of the stories that I'm writing, but once I write it down, it's garbage. I don't expect everything to be genius, but I recognize trash when I see it and especially when I write it.

School starts tomorrow so I don't expect to really write anything for the next couple of weeks. I need to get back on my game though.

My short story

This is getting complicated. I was writing one story. Then I got the inspiration for another story so I went with that. Now I have 4 chapters of 1 story and 6 of another. I don't want to try to force either story because they won't be as good as they can be.

One of my coworkers wrote several books. She said she worked on one for over 2 years. I think that's the hardest part for me, the waiting for ideas and inspiration. I want to sit down and just write until I can't write anymore but I know that's not the way it works.

Hopefully, I'll get some writing done this weekend.

Short story update

I worked on my short story this past weekend. I wrote 4 chapters which surprised me. It surprised me because I didn't expect to sit and write 4 chapters at one time. If my neighbors weren't so loud and rowdy I might have gotten more done.

I know some people suggest that I go away from home to a library or someplace quiet. That doesn't work for me because I need to be comfortable. If I try to go anywhere besides home, I just sit there looking around and I can't concentrate. Hopefully my neighbors will go out this weekend again and in addition to it being quiet, I'll get some writing done.

My short story

I haven't written anything in weeks. I did update my outline of the story. I didn't like the way the story was playing out. I also did outlines of two other stories that I have floating out there. I think I'll finish one of the other stories before I finish the one I was supposed to start first.

Hopefully I'll do some writing this weekend. I have a few really good ideas and I need to get them written down before I forget them.

My short story

I didn't work on my story at all this week. I have to get busy. Maybe I need to get ticked off again. Whenever I'm upset or ticked off, I get extra motivation and type my little heart out.

Sigh, this probably means that I have to do around 4 chapters this week instead of 2. Blah.

My short story

I'm going to use my blog to update my progress on my story. I actually did start it. I finished chapters 2 and 3. I'll go back and add chapter 1 at a later time. My goal is to write 2 chapters a week this summer. By the time school starts I should have at least 20 chapters done.

Since this is a short story, 20 chapters might be the end of the book. I didn't write the first chapter because I already have it sketched out in my mind. I just need to write it down. I'll probably go back and add the first chapter then start chapter 4.

Writing my short story

In my post yesterday, I talked about writing my short story. Just to let everyone know, I'm not writing the story because of my man troubles. I have had this story in my mind for a while now. I also set up a schedule last week where I would write for 2 hours all weekend. I didn't write yesterday but I will get started on my story today.
